Who should attend?
The award in First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at those who wish to become a First Aider in the workplace. This qualification is intended for candidates already working or preparing to work in industry. The First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirements of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for First Aid in the Workplace and is certified by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC).
What will they learn?
Persons gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment. The topics are regarded by the Health & Safety Executive as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace. They will gain confidence to use these skills through practical application on themselves and on manikins.

Course duration
18 learning hours (3 days) plus one assessment day, total 4 days.
Assessment
Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
Certificate and Validity
First Aid at Work from Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), Safety & Leisure Training Middle East*, valid for 3 years. Wallet-sized card included.
Entry requirement
Participants should have Basic English skills. Minimum age: 16 years.
