Who should attend?
The First Aid at Work course is designed to train individuals and company staff that requires HSE approved first aid at work training to meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (1981) Regulations. The First Aid at Work course is designed to meet the requirements of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for First Aid in the Workplace.
What will they learn?
Students gain the first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, is unconscious, bleeding or is ill or injured prior to the arrival of the emergency services. They will gain confidence to use these skills through practical application on themselves and on manikins. It also covers other topics such as COSHH, RIDDOR and other first aid health and safety at work information.

Course duration
24 hours in total (4 days)
Assessment
Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
Certificate and Validity
International First Aid at Work certificate from First Aid International*, valid for 3 years.
Entry requirement
Participants should have Basic English skills. Minimum age: 16 years.
