Heike Glassner – Managing Director, Senior Trainer/Assessor

Heike started her career as a police investigator in Berlin, Germany. During this time she was involved in providing voluntary services for the German Life Saving Society (DLRG), where, being responsible for rescue diver training and salvage operations, she gained several qualifications in water safety and first aid. In addition to being an International Life Saving Instructor, Heike is a qualified Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) UK Beach and Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor, First Aid International and St. John Ambulance Trainer/Assessor. She has also holds Diploma in Tourism and Sport Management and gained the status of RLSS National Pool Trainer Assessor (train the trainer), the first person with such a qualification within the UAE. 

Heike has spent eleven years in the Middle East working in the leisure, tourism and training industry, gaining valuable experience of diverse cultures. She worked for more than four years with FAST Consultants as a Senior Trainer before joining PRM International to head the training division now becoming Managing Director of SLTme. Her dynamic personality combined with her wide range of experience and enthusiasm always reflects in her training sessions.



Fran Cole – Administration and Finance Manager, Senior Trainer/Assessor

Fran Cole – Administration and Finance Manager, Senior Trainer/Assessor

Fran spent six years in Thailand working for the Department for International Development at the British Embassy before coming to the UAE in 2002.  While in Dubai she worked for almost 3 years with FAST Consultants as office manager and trainer before joining PRM International. Holding various training qualifications she is a fully qualified RLSS Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessors as well as a First Aid International and St. John Ambulance First Aid Trainer/Assessor. She gained the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Training Practice, which enables her to offer various consultancy services in the training field. Fran has been instrumental in ensuring that the transfer to SLTme has been smooth and trouble free for our clients, providing excellent customer service and support in all fields, leading to her taking on the role of Administration and Finance Manager, in addition to various training.

Fran has a friendly and outgoing personality that ensures students enjoy her training. With her professionalism and experience, as Administration and Finance Manager she adds great value to the company. 



Judith Ross – Senior Trainer/Assessor

Judith Ross – Senior Trainer/Assessor

Judith has been a First Aid trainer since 1994, initially working for St John Ambulance Association in England where she taught a range of courses including First Aid at Work to people from various industries and backgrounds. She has subsequently taught in Brunei and the UAE, where clients have come from various educational, linguistic and cultural backgrounds. 

Prior to commencing First Aid training, Judith was a volunteer member of the St John Ambulance brigade, during which time she carried out First Aid duties and continual training in the different aspects of the field. Judith has also worked with children at various levels, as a registered child minder, in the youth sections of SJA, and with gym clubs and toddler groups. With her wide experience of working environments such as offices, docks, laboratories, Library and English Language classroom and her Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language Judith adds great depth to the SLTme.



Raquel Hamilton-Rao – Trainer/Assessor

 Raquel Hamilton-Rao – Trainer/Assessor

Raquel is qualified RLSS Pool lifeguard trainer, First Aid International and St John Ambulance First Aid Trainer. She has lived in the UAE for nearly 3 years. Originally from the UK, she has spent the past 10 years in Sydney, Australia, where she has worked for Qantas Airways. With them she already became involved in training and joined SLTme around 2 years ago. Raquel also has keen interest in water sports and scuba diving and loves travelling. Her friendly personality and professional approach makes her a welcome addition to the team and her training an enjoyable experience. 



Meryl Mowat – Trainer/Assessor

Meryl is a qualified RLSS UK Pool Lifeguard Trainer/Assessor, First Aid International and St. John Ambulance First Aid Trainer/Assessor. She is also has obtained T.E.F.L. qualification for teaching English in a foreign language and gave English tuition in Hong Kong. Meryl is also an enthusiastic scuba diver and was training officer at her BSAC club in Hong Kong. She also became leader of the Brownie group in Dubai. Meryl’s friendly and outgoing personality supports the learning process greatly.



Richard Wyn Thomas – Trainer/Assessor

Richard Wyn Thomas – Trainer/Assessor

Richard has served with the Royal Air Force Fire and Rescue service for over five years. He is trained in all aspect of Fire Fighting. He has also represented Wales, running on the mountains in the World cup and European Championships. He is a RLSS UK Pool Lifeguard trainer, First Aid International and St. John Ambulance First Aid trainer. He also has worked as a lifeguard at a leisure centre in UK. Richard has always had an interested in water sports like Diving and Kayaking. He has a warm and easy-going personality and loves to help others. Previous work experience was in the food and transport industry. Although Richard is no longer with SLTme on a full-time basis, he is available for the occasional weekend or evening course.
