RESUSCITATOR USER

Who should attend?
Qualified First Aider's, lifeguards or nurses who want to become qualified to apply a resuscitator. A Resuscitator helps prevent the transmission of diseases and infections during resuscitation and in Dubai it is mandatory at all public pools; therefore anyone working in such areas should be trained in how to use it correctly. It can be used in conjunction with a manual suction devise (see Optional Module).

What will they learn?
Students gain skills and knowledge about the benefits of using a resuscitator and how to apply it safely and effectively. They will gain confidence to use these skills through practical application on manikins.

Course Content

• Repetition of CPR skills
• 2-operator-CPR
• Benefits of using resuscitator units
• Common mistakes
• Maintenance and care
• Practical application

Course duration
3 hours (1/2 day)

Assessment
Continuous assessment during the course; candidates must show competence in applying skills promptly, safely and effectively.

Certificate and Validity
Resuscitator User Certificate of Attendance issued by Safety and Leisure Training Middle East.

Entry requirement
Participants must have a First Aid at Work, lifeguard or nursing qualification and should have Basic English skills. Minimum age: 17 years.
Note: This course will be provided using the equipment of the company making the booking. There must be at least one resuscitator unit available.
